MJLC's participation in the Second Parliamentary Conference on Interfaith Dialogue (June 19–21, 2025) in Rome was a milestone in its global visibility and advocacy efforts. The conference, which included a papal audience during the Jubilee, welcomed over 300 parliamentarians from more than 100 countries. MJLC Co-chair Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt and Vice Co-chair Imam Yahya Pallavicini were key contributors, presenting MJLC's model of religious leadership cooperation as an antidote to the polarization affecting many societies. Their interventions demonstrated how interfaith dialogue can strengthen democratic frameworks by rooting civic engagement in spiritual responsibility.
Imam Pallavicini addressed the deeper cultural dynamics threatening Europe, warning that "the obsession with individualism and the ideological conquest of others are signs of spiritual illness." He proposed instead a return to shared values based on truth, justice, and transcendence, reminding leaders that "authentic faith is not about domination, but about contributing to the good of all." The conference underscored MJLC's mission to uphold interreligious cooperation not only as a moral commitment, but as a vital democratic necessity.
